It happened yesterday, during the live firing at Ncc Hq.
Imagine that every one have 10 rounds of bullet and you have 8 rounds in your magazine only.
To get a marksman, you need a score of 10/10 or ten hits on the target.
M16, a rifle that i fired.
But you have only 8 rounds, and all 8 rounds hit the target wit a grouping less that 6.5cm.
But you still can`t get marksman since you only got 8 hits, and you need 10 hits to get a marksman.
Now, that suck when it happened to you, plus my rifle have zeroing(When the bullet sideways, not the place you aim) and the bullet jammed every 2 shot that i fired.
Good shooter with no luck.

Well, the experience of live firing is fun and the empty Cartridge is really hot, but right now, i`m trying to recover from the recoil from that rifle.

i was a marksman during my NSF days. it was the normal ATP and one must get above 80% shots (can’t remember) to get it.
the new combat range is very hard to get marksman unless everyone in your detail are good shooters.
the additional $100 was nice. but the most satisfactory thing was the badge. i was the only person in my unit that time who gets marksman. ^^;
Yeah I suck at holding unwieldy guns. I much prefer a MP5 thank you.

I prefer the GPMG ^^ it’s been with me for almost all my NS life…
anyways I thought all units including NCC might already been converted to the SAR21…. guess I’m wrong then…
Going to the range is one of the least place i would want to go in my NSF days.

Lol. It’s ok to fail I think =/ (I’m in NPCC and) I failed my .22 revolver shoot this year and couldn’t get my marksman, which was quite saddening… You have my empathy. :D
don’t feel so sad lah. is this your last range before ORD? have u tried the combat shoot. much much more fun but harder to get marksman.
