The Highshool Of The Dead just came out in comics connection, i was interested on this manga when i read the first chap on the internet.

Story plot of the Manga (Read Book 1 only)
A mysterious disease is on the loose worldwide, resulting in a High death rate of humanity, and the increasing rise of attacks, caused by the Zombies.
In Japan, a few high school students and a school nurse have banded together to escape Fujimi High School shortly after it was attacked by zombies. The group now attempts Stay survive the present apocalypse.
The story is initially narrated through the eyes of Takashi Komuro, one of the students who had survived in the initial outbreak.
Main Characters saw in book 1
Takashi Komoru is a highschool student One day, while skipping class, he witnesses a zombie attack at the front gate. He immediately runs back to class, grabs Rei and Hisashi and the adventure begins. He bears some resentment towards Rei, who once promised to be his bride when they were little, after he finds out she is dating Hisashi. He often becomes an insecured person after Hisashi’s death, probably filled with guilt over the necessity of killing him after turning into a zombie.Takashi prefers melee weapons such as bats or heavy sticks, from which i see from the first book.
Rei Miyamoto is Takashi’s sophomore classmate and childhood friend. She has known him since kindergarten.She bears resentment towards Takashi for killing her boyfriend, Hisashi, after he had become one of the zombies.Despite this, she openly admits that she needs Takashi. As the story progresses, they reconciled their relationships despite the ensuing chaos. She is skilled with a pole in combat due to her place in the sou-jutsu club and capable of beating down multiple opponents if need be.
Saeko Busujima is the president of the school’s kendo club, as well as a senior student of Section A. She is extremely skilled with a bokken and is capable of defeating multiple zombies if surrounded, as seen in Chapter 1. Amidst the ensuing chaos, she appears to remain calm and keeps a strong sense of pride, not just for herself, but for others as well. For instance, Saeko offered a student euthanasia after he was badly bitten by zombies so as not to let his family see him as one.
Saya Takagi makes her escape with her fellow sophomore classmate Hirano Kohta When Takashi took Rei and Hisashi out of class. It is unknown why she chose him, probably because he was the only man around at that time. She is a self proclaimed genius and despite her tense, whiny attitude, seems to have a better understanding of the situation than any of the other characters. She seems insecure at first of the outbreak when she meets the others as they openly killed most of their classmates but is comforted by Busujima. Nothing is mentioned about her background nor about her family. She is the character that is least explored indepth in the series as of yet. However, she has shown to have an extensive knowledge about pandemics (perhaps as much as Shizuka) and appears to be rather intelligent.
Kohta Hirano is an overweight student. He claims to have come from a rich family, which Saya says it’s unbelievable because it sounds like a manga. He has a keen interest in weapons and the military in general. As the zombie outbreak begins, he equips himself with a nail gun fitted with a homemade stock and proves to be a very good marksman, shooting down zombies with deadly accuracy.(A Good way to survive)
Shizuka Marikawa is the Fujimi High School school nurse. During the early stages of the outbreak crisis, Shizuka examined one of the zombies and concluded that they are indeed dead bodies and gives out the details on how the bodies can probably rot if left out for extended periods of time in the heat. Her personality seems quite ditsy and her large proportions combined with her tendency to give fanservice in the manga gives way to the belief by readers that she is a stereotypical dumb blonde character.
Doesn`t this manga`s plot look like resident evil, I am legend and other survival moives, manga, anime?
